The research dwells on the creation of a video game that aims to ensure the improvement of the quality of Filipino-made games. This is achieved by creating a game that caters to the Filipino youth, and gain popularity through the many features the game offers. The student game developers came up with “Alamat,” a multiplayer strategy game between two players through card decks, troop management and a battle of wits and luck, which involves the concept of Philippine mythical creatures such as kapre, duwende, etc. set in an alternate Spanish-era Philippines.

The Logo and its different variations
For the project, I created concept art and designed one of the maps.
One of the concepts was the game's logo. It consists of a Manunggul Jar, an ancient burial jar in the Philippines. It was used to show that the belief that the souls of the departed traveled across bodies of water on their way to the afterlife.
Its compact shape and size makes it able to fit as an icon.

Intramuros Map Design
It was divided into sixteen sections, each of them was made in MagicaVoxel and the entire map was assembled in Blender.
Intramuros was a prominent area in Manila during the Spanish Colonization Period of the Philippines. It is now currently a famous tourist attraction for its history and architecture. That is the reason my team chose to build this map.

Concept Art and Models
The art style of the concept art is similar to the art style of another game, Limbo, where it uses dark silhouettes to emit a grim feeling. The concept art is composed of mythical creatures in Philippine folklore.
The bottom picture is composed of voxel models of the Tikbalang, made in MagicaVoxel.
